Hey!
It’s been a nice and relaxing week this week. Really alot didn't happen. My comp has been sick since I got here. He has had LBM and we just found out the other day he has an Ameba. Then on Friday after we did our CSP at a less active members house fixing their roof, I came down with a fever. So both of us have been out for quite a while. I've been in bed for the past two days. It’s been a good time to reflect on life. I had my comp give me a blessing yesterday, Sunday and I got better just in time for P-Day! I don't think I am completely better but my temperature has gone down.
The work here in Molo is a little bit slow right now because of that. But I am excited to get it going. The ward here is awesome.  We just need to set some good goals and get well and we will be spreading the Gospel once again.
There is one other American elder with me in the apartment. The rest are Filipino. When all the Filipinos get together, they don't even speak Illango they speak Tagalog so it’s not that big of a help with the language.
I am not sure if there are American sisters in Iloilo city. I know there are Pina's though.
Our address is something along the lines of : Baluarte street. There’s a Gas Station and a Supermart.  We live in a place called PLDT compound or something.
It sounds like there are a lot of parties at the Kirschbaum house. I bet Josh was the one to get you to make pizza. That a boy. I miss good pizza. I went for the first time today to a pizza restaurant called Greenwich. I had one slice of this really weird burger pizza with big slices of onion. It was pretty grosh. I mean gross.
I am going to keep is short today. Talk to ya'll later.
-Elder Kirschbaum

He lives by a Shell Station between Locsin St. and Avancena St. in Molo, Iloilo City, Philippines if you want to google it.
The Church is 1st and 2nd Ward 10:30 am on Compania Street.

Molo Iloilo City

So I am not in Estancia anymore. That was kind of a surprise. I thought for sure I would stay in my area for a while. My companion Elder Budy stayed in Estancia and now is companions with one of my batch mates, Elder Ellsworth.
My new area is crazy. Way different than anywhere I’ve been so far. I am in the city now. Iloilo City. The area I am in is called Molo Iloilo. It is so much more...normal here. The people are way different too. Alot more like it is at home. They even have pizza places here. That’s huge.
I live in an apartment with six Elders total.  It is a blast.  It is so much more fun when it’s more than just you and your companion in an apartment.  My companion’s name is Elder Garcia. He is from Philippines gi hapon, my 4th Filipino comp now. The city is really confusing. I can't get around my area at all, tons of roads and little roads and mazes.  It’s a mess.
So now I am just trying to get settled in the new apartment and meet all the ward members and investigators. We had a sweet Community Service Project with the youth of the ward last Friday. The Youth are really fun. We played basketball today with some of the youth too this morning. The Ward here is awesome too.  It is well organized and actually functions right.
It’s so weird coming from these other really far out there areas with barely functional wards to this.  It is great though.  I am super excited.
Things are going great. Little by Little. Love you all so much. I’ll update ya more next week. Muah,
Elder Kirschbaum

Hey Mother! So I got your package the other day, the one with the music stuff. Thanks so much it will be a big help. As for the scriptures do you think you could buy one there and sent it here? It will be a lot faster through you rather than the office here. Just use my money to buy it.
So this Sunday I will call you guys. It will be Sunday night your time I'm thinking. I will call in the morning at like 8:00 am here. So I was thinking if I called you first with the calling card I got and then you called me back it would be better.  Anyways, I will call Sunday night your time.
I think Monday morning my time.
I will talk to you next week!
